Riding the Online Wave

Are you and your business riding the online wave.  In case you hadn’t noticed the new way of doing business is online…and if you haven’t adapted or made the switch to online, then you are getting left behind.  Despite the huge shift recently, by customers and businesses going online… trading online is still only in it’s infancy.  The most recent UK governmental figures placed the value of UK e-commerce sales at 533 billion British pounds. (stats by Statista.com). 

It’s a sad fact,…but a fact nevertheless, that brick and mortar type businesses that have been in business for many years are now closing up shop.  They assumed that because their fathers did it successfully and their fathers father…then this was the way to do it. Unfortunately for them this is now just not true any more.

Customers want instant gratification. They want something and they want it now.  Take a look at Amazon offering two hour delivery by drone. (location dependant at time of writing). 

In fact Argos offer the same service right here in the UK. ( not by drone of course). I actually tried it with 3 large bulk items ( garden storage boxes) and right on time, they arrived to my house.

You don’t need to offer your products or services with two hour delivery but you do need to be offering them online.

Do customers know who you are?  What you sell? What service you offer?  How are you getting your message out there?
